Sushi, Tapas and Margaritas for Selina

Wednesday was THE day... Selina got old-er! We started the day at 8am in the lab, as I had an experiment. Selina's labmates invited her for Sushi at lunch and I invited her for Tapas in the evening. Both was delicious and we went to bed happy and with full stomachs and livers working on the bottle of Rioja. As a birthday present we will go and watch the cheetahs run in the Wild Animal Park next weekend. Selina was very happy to get so many birthday greetings from Switzerland. She says: Thanks guys, you're awesome!
Otherwise it was a normal week with work, surf (after the time change - we already have "summertime" - we can go surfing in the evening again) and guitar (yes JP, I play from time to time... and our neighbor loves it).
Saturday was THE big birthday party hosted by Selina at our place. We prepared food the whole afternoon to make all our 30 guests happy. It was people from Scripps, San Diegan friends and some we didn't know before. We enjoyed the party very much and took the opportunity today to make a "Frühlingsputz" after the headache was gone. As my boss says, getting older you can still party hard but the recovery rate is not the same anymore.
Now we eat leftover desert from yesterday and look forward to next Wednesday when Selina's dad will arrive in San Diego.
