The first winter storm has hit Southern California. And again it's a big happening with news on TV and the impression that this is close to the end of the world... Yes it is raining and it is windy but nothing spectacular. But it interferes with many aspects of everyday life as no one is used to it.
Otherwise we are preparing for a lab retreat/Christmas diner in the nearby mountains. And then it's almost time to head to Switzerland. We will leave from LA on Wednesday the 16th and arrive in Zürich on Thursday in the afternoon. Switzerland here we come!
