Already 3 weeks into the new year. We had the biggest swell of this winter so far. I took my senior blond postdocs to the beach in La Jolla and took some pictures. This year I decided not to surf (or try to surf) after Kit's near death experience two years ago. I know my limits and it was beautiful to watch from the shore.
