Trix was worried that she will not see us tomorrow morning because we leave early...! We did lough out loud!!! Ok, let's start from the beginning:
Trix is a Swiss friend who lives in Mesa Arizona. She came to Southern California for a triathlon and stayed with us for the weekend. We dragged her along to the farewell BBQ of Nico and Lucile. Another great Saturday outside with friends, although the occasion is rather sad. But that's the problem of postdocs. You make friends and after 3 years you part and go to different places in the world. Anyway, the French do take "boules" very serious! I will post some pictures soon. Trix stayed up until 11pm, which is almost a personal record and this after a half ironman in the morning.
Today we took her surfing and spent the afternoon at the beach. Beautiful weather and less than good waves but lots of fun! Selina got a new surfboard and I had to test it as well... A 5'10 fish for those who know about surfing. Now we are full with curry and fresh strawberries and chatting about this and that. Back to the beginning, Trix usually gets up at 3am (!) and thought that she might miss our departure in the morning... Hahahahaha! First she found out that science labs are messy and now these lazy bastards only get up at 7! But they can drink and stay up late...

Hey I know what a 5'10 fish is (at least since I have stayed with you guys). Now there is no excuse anymore for Selina. I am looking forward to test it the next time.
