Not much sleep last week. Late nights at the local bars or in the lab kept me from getting the sleep I need. Was a tough week but a good one too! Matthias from the Swiss Tropical Institute stayed with us from Thursday through Saturday. He had a meeting at GNF. Was nice to have a guest who brought us up to speed with the latest gossip in Switzerland. And again we showed that the Swiss-German relations are very good on a private level...
Saturday we had a cooking. We thought it is a barbecue but Selina was told by Taylor the grad student in the lab that a real BBQ is with a big piece of meat that stays on low heat for hours. What we do with sausages and steaks is a cooking. Aha! There's always something to learn. Anyway it was perfect weather (23°C) and we realized that hanging out with your friends during the day, eating and drinking is very enjoyable. And I finally got my sleep, as we were home pretty early.
Nothing special today, or actually it was: No work at all, just organizing at home, relaxing, coffee with Karsten, another German (!) petting a snake and ok, some work helping Eddie with the FACS. But that was an emergency.

My son Jonathan wants to become an Indian anyway. So the relationship can't be better...

P.S.: Surfing was great. Thanks again for all the hospitality and care taking :-)
