Selina went to Atlanta, GA for a conference this week. Will be back tonight. I stayed home to protect and run the household, take care of all the plants, party, surf and all the other fun things we do here in Southern California.
The elections were quite a hot topic. I got into it only towards the very end. The whole campaigning is so disgusting that I couldn't stand it. All the TV adds tell the voter what the others do wrong and you have no clue what the actual program of the candidate is going to be. And then all the dirty accusations and stories. Who cares whether a candidate once took a picture in a naughty nurse dress for Halloween 15 years ago??? Anyway, there were no real surprises and I doubt that the changes will affect everyday life right now. Things are pretty much going downhill or staying bad for a lot of people. Still you hear everywhere how much better the economy is and the job situation etc. Luckily we are not affected.
Our next highlight will be a trip to New Orleans for Thanksgiving. Really excited! Good food and music sounds like a perfect long weekend.

Holy cow a trip to New Orleans what a great idea Man, you should really enjoy that one don't miss to go to the Cafe du Monde and have a special beignet with crystal sugar and check the concert list on Offbeat.com they list all the great concerts in town ! If you have the chance try to catch a show in Tipitinas for good Ol funk or if you prefer Party time go to a brass band concert like Rebirth Brass Band preferably in Maple Leaf ! enjoy !
