... and we went to school together. That was more than 16 years ago (wow, I'm shocked!) and now we met again in San Diego: Ingrid who lives in San Francisco (you remember, we met her last weekend in SF) and Tanja who travels the world with her snowboard. We all lived in Thun and spent a lot of time together in and outside of the classroom. Now we spent a weekend refreshing memories and updating each other. Was really fun to meet so far away from home. The ladies arrived Saturday night after some trouble with their flight from SF. Tanja was on the way to a snowboard race in Lake Placid coming from Japan and decided to skip that and instead fly down to San Diego with Ingrid. Turned out to be a really good idea! Sunday was relaxing and sightseeing day. Monday we went to see the big waves at Black's Beach before going to work. The girls spent the day at the zoo and even managed to find their way back to our place... That day was also the birthday of our friend Amy and we enjoyed a Fondue Party with her friends. We love these people, they are no scientists and give us a whole different view of San Diego! Monday morning was the end of our little reunion and Ingrid and Tanja left San Diego at 6:30am... yes I drove them to the airport!
