Where do I have to start... Working hard last week, big hello with friends and colleagues and surfing in the sun. Ok, so far so good. Friday a week ago we drove up to LAX (airport of LA) to pick up Ralf who came from Basel. He was on the way to a meeting in Vancouver and decided to spend a couple of days with us. Good decision! LAX is pretty big but we managed to find him and after some cell phone problems (iPhones do not always behave the way they should...) we alerted Diana that we would pass by on the way to Big Bear. So we had coffee with Diana at her Institute and exchanged christmas presents. Parisienne for her, Colombian coffee and sweets for us. Then on to Big Bear, the closest ski resort, about 240km from San Diego. There we had a cabin at the lake for two nights.
