This weekend was a long one, and still is! Today is Memorial Day. A holiday where Americans put flags everywhere and remember their soldiers who died serving the country. For us it's an occasion to relax and do things we normally don't have time for. We went to the zoo to see the new elephant exhibit, we went to the outlets close to the Mexican border, we went to the Wild Animal Park and we spent time with friends and just doing nothing. Aaaahhh! I posted some animal pictures and added some to the "My Nikon" album.
Now we are waiting for Jun and his girlfriend to arrive. I know Jun from my childhood. He is also half Japanese and now on vacation in California. Planning on having a nice BBQ, maybe a sundowner at the beach. And yes, we now about the heat wave in Switzerland and it is indeed much colder here. At least where we live close to the ocean. So enjoy it and remember the cold winter!
