Hiking anlong the lake

This last weekend we decided to do something special, something we have never done before, something unique. Saturday I got up at 9 and finished reading my book while sweating in the sun. After Shinji got up at 12 we had a nice breakfast and then headed to the beach. This time we went to silver beach on Coronado island where we have never been before. Lucky for us the parking lot was full and we had to find parking across the street in the residential area. We were lucky because now we didn't have to squeeze in with all the others but had a nice stretch of beach almost to ourselves. Too bad it was quite windy so it was getting cold fast and we had to leave. In the evening we went to a concert at Belly-up with some friends from the lab. It was very funky and Shinji enjoyed it emensly especially after a couple of beers and some Jaegermeister-Redbull-shots...
As you can imagine this slowed down our Sunday-start and we woke up by the weekly calls from our beloved parents. After a nice breakfast on our porch, we headed to lake Murray for a round trip around the lake. Unfortunately, the round trip turned into a "walk to here-stop-and all the way back" trip. We are still debating who's fault it was...
