Joshua Tree

We were on the road with our own car! It's a Subaru Legacy Outback. Sorry, no money for a Hummer! On our way to Joshua Tree National Park we passed Cuyamaca National Park, a small beauty. Gentle hills, forests and a small lake very close to SD. We also drove through an incredibly hot desert. We estimated the temperature to be over 40°C! Luckily the Aircon in the car is working. In the evening we finally arrived in 29 Palms just north of Joshua Tree. The next day we spent in the park driving around, stopping for killer views and a short walk. Really nice (see photos) and there was plenty of wildlife. The next night we spent in the Harmony Motel where U2 stayed when they recorded their "Joshua Tree" Album with songs like "With or without you" and "I till haven't found what I'm looking for".
