LA with Dr. Diaz

From Big Bear we headed straight to LA (including the usual detours caused by misunderstandings between pilot and navigator). We were very happy to meet our old friend Diana. After an excellent steak diner we spent the whole evening exchanging latest news and gossip and remembering the good old times, while drinking beers and smoking (some things should never change!). The next day we met Miriam another Swiss biologist from Bern and went to Santa Monica Beach together. Some of you might remember the carousel starring in the movie "The Sting". After another cosy evening at Ds place we headed back to SD to move into our new apartment.
