Every now and then we feel the urge to hang out with the celebrities. That's when we drive up to LA and go for a stroll in Hollywood. No, there are no celebrities there. It's all swamped by tourists and the stars on the sidewalk are not that exciting. But it was sort of a must-see for the Swiss.
What was much more impressive was seeing the sunset over LA from Griffith observatory. Impressive was also the number of people who had the same idea...
We then met our friend Diana for diner and stayed at her place close to Pasadena. The next day we went for a hike in the San Gabriel mountains with all the Pasadena dog owners and joggers. We left them behind when we reached the end of the trail and continued towards the summit. Turned out that the summit was too far away for the Swiss mountaineers. I have put some more pictures of that trip in a photo album.
